Before Updating
Before updating its recommended that you connect your TV to a Battery Backup if possible or do updates on days when the power is stable. A sudden power failure during update can damage your TV set. So is removing a USB drive from which a update is being done.
Do updates on days when the power supply is stable and avoid power outages.
How to Update your TCL Google TV?
To update your Google TCL TV to the Latest software do the following
1.Go to settings.
2.Under settings go to System.
3.Go to about.
4.Select Software update.
5.Local Update is for updating by USB drive in case you manually download the update. Network update is the preferred option but you will need WiFi.You can do a System update or service update if either is available.
6.Follow the on screen directions and make sure your device does not loose power to complete the update.
