So today I will be showing you how to How to Lock your PS4 100%. After this tutorial your PS4 or PS4 Pro will require a Password in order to use your device or log into the main account. Also note that users will not be able to create or use the guest account either. So to put it plainly no one other than those who know your password will be able to use your console.
Why do this?
This is a great way to protect your device and your Game progress as no one without access to your account will be able to use or access your device. It can also be great in cases where if your device is stolen unless they have the password the console would be unusable or harder for anyone to use it.
How to Lock your PS4 or PS4 Pro?
In order to lock your PS4 or Ps4 Pro
1.Go to settings.
2. Next select Users, Login settings.
3.Finally Passcode Management and now enter your desired code.
or
For the PS4 Pro with latest updates.
1.Go to Settings.
2.Login settings.
3.Login Passcode Management and enter your Login Password and once more to confirm.
After this your PS4 or PS4 Pro is now locked.
Disable Guest Login for Extra Security
While now you have a password enabled this does not prevent others from simply creating or using a guest account from the login screen.To prevent or block this action simply
1.Go to settings.
2.Restrict Usage of PS4.
3.Now go to New User Creation and Guest login and from here set the option to DO Not allow.
or
On the Ps4 Pro with all the latest updates
1.Go to settings.
2.Now go to Parental Controls/Family Management.
3. PS4 System Restrictions and enter the password:0000 unless you have changed it.
4.Finally go to: New User Creation and Guest Login and set it to -Not allowed.
You have disabled guest access and no one but those with the password will be able to use your device.
