Today’s problem can happen with the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus respectively. The problem is that either device can develop a Frozen screen where the display is totally unresponsive and you can’t turn off your phone or do anything at all.In today’s article we will be looking at how to Fix Frozen Screen on iPhone 7 & 7 Plus.
Did you try this and it Failed?
Did you also try pressing the Power Button + Home button as you did on past devices and nothing happened as that fixed it in the past for you. Well things have changed in these newer devices and that will not work any more.
Why did it Fail?
The reason why Power + Home button failed to fix the issue is because the Home button is no longer an actual button and is actually controlled by the software and taptic engine in the device. It would also make sense that said button would stop functioning once the device Froze up. In such a case these newer devices require a new physical button combination to solve this problem.
How to fix the Frozen Screen on iPhone 7 & 7 Plus?
If you having the issue where your device is Froze up then I suggest that you:
1.As soon as the problem happens go ahead and hold Power + Volume down button.
2.Keep holding both buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo at which time let go of the button combo. The phone should be fine after bootup.
3.As an alternative you can: hold down power for 4 seconds.
4.Next hit volume down while still holding power.
5.Let go when you see the Apple logo and allow the phone to boot up. One of the methods above should fix the Frozen Screen on iPhone 7 & 7 Plus issue for you.
Why did this Work for me?
The reason the above worked in most cases is that since Apple device don’t have removable battery at times the phone can Freeze up as do all devices, if this happened on devices with removable battery you simply yank the battery and place it back in and the device restarts the problem is gone. We can’t do that with the iPhone seeing the built in battery so the next best thing is to use the force restart that Apple built-in for just such a case which is achieved with the button combination given above that’s slightly different for older devices.
